Application

The application for the Unitag takes place at the respective school with the school management. Each semester, these schools are informed in advance by the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs about the Unitag programme offered by the Bavarian universities and are given a deadline by which they should submit proposals to the MB office in their administrative district. For a winter semester, this is usually the end of the second school week in the new school year; for a summer semester, the deadline is usually mid-March. The exact deadlines can be found under News as soon as they are known.

Participants are then selected by the MB offices, which report them to the universities. JMU is therefore not involved in the selection of participants. It only supervises the students selected for the unit day in the respective semester. These usually come from Lower Franconia. Middle and Upper Franconia are also catered for if required.

Tip: Apply if you are generally interested in the Unitag, even if the programme of events is not yet complete by the end of the application period. You can still cancel your participation shortly before the start of lectures. Subsequent applications are not possible.

In the summer semester 2011, 16 students took part in a pilot phase; since the winter semester 2011/2012, the Unitag has been offered to around 25 participants at a time.
