11/19/2024

We welcome our exchange student Lily-Ann from Namibia. She will be studying Education at the University of Würzburg in the current winter semester. We warmly welcome her!

Lily-Ann is currently studying for a Bachelor of Education at her home university, the University of Namibia (UNAM), with the aim of becoming a teacher. As part of the PSE's GoTEd project, funded by the DAAD as part of the Lehramt.International programme, she has enrolled at the University of Würzburg to study Education.

Workshop at the University of Würzburg

In order to give students in Würzburg an insight into the Namibian school system, Lily-Ann will hold the workshop ‘Discover Education in Namibia’ on 27 November at 4:00 pm. You can find more information here!

Arrival in Würzburg

Having already overcome the bureaucratic challenges, she can now pursue her studies at the University of Würzburg as a newly enrolled student. She is particularly looking forward to familiarising herself with German cuisine, with Brezn, schnitzel and sausage. Lily-Ann has respect for the German public transport system, as she is not familiar with it in this form from her home country.

Lily-Ann will also be doing an internship at a primary school in Würzburg, where she will be supporting the English teachers in particular. She already really likes Würzburg as a city and is particularly looking forward to getting to know and interacting with her fellow students during the courses.

We wish Lily-Ann the best of luck and exciting impressions in Germany and in Würzburg in particular!
