The speciality of our programme is the involvement of JMU students. This enables a high supervision ratio, ideal for our student-centred offers. Both your pupils and our students benefit from this.
We offer students everyday, student-centred learning opportunities that focus on comprehension. The promotion of evaluation and design skills in the sense of education for sustainable development (ESD) is also a concern in the design of our programmes. Our students are trained accordingly in the courses in order to competently convey content to their students and promote competences. But the pupils also support our students, because only through encounters can the students gain important practical experience. In this way, both sides learn hand in hand as part of the action programmes.
A visit to the botanical garden is not just about biology
A visit to the botanical garden is recommended in many subjects. We work in a curriculum-orientated way so that you can supplement your lessons with a visit to the Botanical Garden. Our offer ranges from classic biological topics such as "flower ecology" to political simulation games that allow your pupils to experience "environmental policy at first hand", for example. Thanks to our diverse collaborations, Geography, German, English and Art teachers can also profitably supplement their lessons here.
Particularly in terms of interdisciplinary teaching and the overarching educational objectives in the curriculum, it makes sense to book a programme and combine your lessons with colleagues.
