Research, Teaching, Leadership, Self- and Career Management. Four areas in which JMU Research Academy, the central facility for academic staff development (asd), provides support for young scientists as well as for established researchers at JMU.

JMU Research Academy uses already established infrastructures within the university, avoids double structures and provides a new forum in order to make the already existing diverse offers more accessible for the target group – i.e. for all researchers at JMU.

Moreover, JMU Research Academy completes the existing offers by creating new measures of academic staff development, which have not been available yet on a broad scale throughout the university. Thus, JMU Research Academy supports researchers on their career paths into academia as well as on their way out and into careers in industry and society.
