Unit 4.5 Training and Development for Non-Academic Staff

Internationalisation

You and your fellow members of the non-academic staff of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg are making a valuable contribution to our efforts relating to the internationalisation of the JMU. As we have more and more international students, visitors and researchers, you have more and more contact with people from other cultures. You liaise with them and welcome them when they arrive.

In line with the JMU internationalisation strategy, which was adopted in 2016, we therefore offer a range of courses to help you and your fellow members of our non-academic staff boost your language and intercultural skills and also give you the opportunity to undertake a staff mobility and gain valuable experience abroad.

You can either take individual courses from our catalogue or sign up for our modular 'UNIversInternational' certification programme, which will systematically equip you with valuable skills for working in an increasingly international environment.

What we offer

English language courses

You want to refresh or enhance your language skills? Or you are looking for an opportunity to keep your English in shape?

We offer a range of English language courses that could be right for you.

Intercultural training courses

Your job involves liaising with international students, teachers, researchers or with refugees?

Take one of our intercultural training courses and learn how to approach intercultural encounters with confidence.

Staff mobilities

Staff mobilities help foster the internationalisation of our University. This is why the JMU encourages its staff members to seize the opportunity to undertake training visits to (partner) universities abroad.
