Kick-Off-Meeting "FEMpower Program 2023"

24.02.2023

On Tuesday, the Kick-Off-Meeting of our coaching "FEMpower Program 2023" took place. Many thanks to Birgit Röschert from the "Fe:male Leadership Development Team" (https://female-leadership-development.com/coaching.html) for this great opening!

In the beginning, facts and figures about the obstacles and barriers to women's careers as well as unconscious bias in academia were discussed. Afterwards, the female PhD researchers received an introduction to micropolitics and advancement opportunities for women. There was plenty of room for sharing experiences and lots of interactive group work.

The coaching is an important part of the RTG curriculum and is designed to enable female PhD researchers to grow personally, professionally, and academically. It is a central part of the RTG's mission to provide the best possible support for women in science.

In the coming weeks, our female PhD researchers will have the opportunity to intensively exchange ideas and experience targeted coaching on the topics of self-marketing, networking, their future role as a leader, conflict potentials, "inner drivers" as well as setting boundaries and their visions, and above all, to benefit from the exchange in the group.

We are looking forward to the next dates!
