Datum: 12.05.2020, 09:00 - 14:00 Uhr
Kategorie: Research Academy, R1, R2, Karriere
Ort: online, Moodle/zoom
Veranstalter: JMU Research Academy, Wissenschaftliche Personalentwicklung

Objective:

To successfully search the internet for jobs, present your self online, apply online and tame all features of "robot recruiting" (online application systems, including pre-selection tools and interview or assessment tools).

Description:

These days companies and public and governmental institutions use online tools and algorithms for recruiting employees - with new features of "robot recruiting" (from time-shifted video interviews to gamification as a pre-selection tool). The workshop will clarify most online application features using practical examples and online-tasks.

Main topics will be tips and tricks for

  • basics of personnel selection procedures for online application
  • successfully using online selection and pre-selection tools
  • documents in online systems (CV, application letter, text fields)
  • online assessment tools (e.g. online assessment tools, time-shifted interview etc)

Procedure:

A few days before the workshop you will receive the login-code for the moodle-classroom. In the moodle-classroom you will find some material for reading and preparation - and also some tasks to work on (this will take you about 2 to 2.5 hours).

Live-moodle-classroom starts on May 12 at 9 a.m. - we will work online for about 5 hours (short breaks included - not lunch break). After the workshop we will use the moodle-classroom for feedback and other tasks for another couple of days (this will take you about 2 to 2.5 hours).

For being able to participate you need a laptop or computer with well functioning microphone and camera - we need these features for some live-class-room situations. You need a stable internet connection.
