Prof. Dr. Caroline Kisker is Vice President of the University of Würzburg since 2021 and was Speaker & Co-Speaker of the Rudolf Virchow Center (2016 - 2021).

She has been the Head of the Chair of Structural Biology at the Rudolf Virchow Center since 2006 and Dean of the Graduate School of Life Sciences at the University of Würzburg (2009 - 2021).

She is also a member of the

Previously she was Deputy Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee at the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research in Braunschweig  (2011-2019).

Research

The Chair of Structural Biology is using high resolution structural biology in combination with state-of-the-art biochemical and biophysical analyses to address fundamental questions in DNA repair mechanisms, the maintenance of genomic integrity, and deubiquitination cascades. More details
