Im Rahmen der Ringvorlesung "Teaching for Impact" findet am 21.12.2022 um 18:15 Uhr der Vortrag "Critical Animal Pedagogy and Global Education in the EFL Classroom" statt.
The role of today’s educators is to develop learners’ critical literacies by addressing such topics through a variety of texts and media. In the field of foreign language education, many of those issues have found their way into conceptual developments and practical applications. In this context, considering animals’ rights is often neglected in scholarly discussions as well as in teaching materials. Against this background, this contribution will show why animal rights should be included as a central and challenging topic in the EFL classroom.
