Ronald Bogaschewsky holds the Chair of Industrial Management since 2001. From 1994 to 2001 he was holder of the Chair Business Management and Production Management at the TU Dresden, Germany. He studied Business Management at the University of Goettingen, where he received his Ph.D. as well as his habilitation. 1989/90 he was a postdoctoral fellow at IBM Scientific Center in Santa Monica, CA. Ron works in the fields of Supply Management, E-Procurement, Public Procurement, and Value Chain Management. From 1996 to 2016 he was a member of the board of the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (AMMPL). He heads the scientific advisory board of the AMMPL since 2005 and since 2001 he is speaker of the Committee ‘Purchasing and Logistics’ of the Schmalenbach Society for Business Management. He is a member of several renowned scientific societies and referee for international top journals.
Connection with/to Africa
Ronald Bogaschewsky was Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business of the Univers¬ity of Cape Town, RSA, in 1997/98. He enhanced his scientific as well as business-oriented network by several visits to South Africa in the following years. Ron participated in the bmbf-financed project „Foundations of Social Sciences for an Increasing Prosperity in the Congo” together with members from the Law Faculties of both JMU and Université de Kinshasa as well as Political Sciences and Geography of JMU. Today he is an associated member of a DAAD-financed project that scientifically investigates chronical infectious diseas¬es, that is run by members of the University Hospital Würzburg, the Missionary Institute Würzburg, University of Stellenbosch, Bugando Medical Center and Catholic University of Health Allied Sciences (CUHAS) in Mwanza, Tansania.
