The Professional School of Education is a central scientific institution of JMU with the mission

GSiK ist ein deutschlandweit einmaliges Gemeinschaftsprojekt von zehn Institutionen aus sechs Fakultäten der Universität Würzburg. Seit WS 08/09 schafft es ein differenziertes und wissenschaftlich fundiertes Lehrangebot zum Erwerb interkultureller Kompetenz. Ziel des GSiK-Programms ist der Erwerb interkultureller Kompetenz als Schlüsselqualifikation. Dies geschieht einerseits durch die Schulung von grundlegenden Sozial- und Kommunikationskompetenzen sowie andererseits durch den "Blick über den Tellerrand" des eigenen kulturellen Umfelds und des eigenen Studienfachs. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, sich für besuchte Seminare und Vorträge ein GSiK-Zertifikat bzw. ein erweitertes GSiK-Zertifikat ausstellen zu lassen.

The Virtual University of Bavaria offers students enrolled at a Bavarian University high-quality, network-supported courses free of charge. Other persons can use the vhb courses for a fee if they meet the access and admission requirements specified by the course providers. The course materials - sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria - are developed by university teachers of the vhb member universities and tested by experts.
The program is addressed to students from all countries and disciplines who wish to augment their intercultural skills and to gain a better understanding of Germany as their host country. The University of Würzburg GmbH for Education and Campus Services was founded as a subsidiary of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg in August 2015 and functions as a link between business, the university and students. They plan and conduct miscellaenous events such as the job fair Jobmesse study & stay and runs the Uni Shop.
