Project 'Leadership Development'

Leadership is a topic that is of great importance to the Central Administration of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.

In an effort to forge a common understanding of leadership and leadership practices, we launched a series of training events in November 2016. These give executive staff an opportunity to discuss issues surrounding leadership in university administration.

The outcomes of these discussions will serve as a basis for developing leadership guidelines for the University’s Central Administration, guidelines that will develop an awareness in both employees and executive staff of how leadership affects team productivity and efficiency. The leadership guidelines will also help guide individuals with supervisory responsibility in their actions.

In addition, we will launch a systematic leadership development programme for all executives and junior executives in the University’s Central Administration.
