Global Circle: Exploring Artificial Intelligence: What it is, who it affects, and what do we change?

Dieser Global Circle findet vom 9. Oktober  bis 20. Oktober statt. Das Thema, das in dem Kurs erörtert werden soll, ist:

Exploring Artificial Intelligence: What it is, who it affects, and what do we change?

AI is described as an abstract concept, but what does it look like around us? This discussion explores artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on economics, education, innovation, social impact, governance, and creativity.  We will explore the transformative potential of AI in driving productivity and growth - as well as the risks related to algorithmic bias in decision-making and increased inequalities and digital divides. We will address how the development of AI transmits between global regions and power structures and will delve into the relationship between the Global North and South in developing AI, from its design to its applications. We will also consider how advances in AI have influenced our understanding of what it means to be human - especially in terms of creativity and consciousness.

Für dieses Angebot müssen zwei Anmeldungen durchgeführt werden, damit die Teilnahme als Studienleistung verbucht werden kann:

• über Soliya  bis zum 24. September 2023
• über das Programm des Career Centre bei Wuestudy

1. Der erste Präsenztermin im Career Centre mit einer Einführung in Virtual Exchange und die interkulturelle Kompetenz wird am 29. September 2023 um 8 Uhr c.t. in Präsenz stattfinden.
2. Der zweite Präsenztermin mit einer Feedback-Runde ist für den  23. Oktober 2023 um 10 Uhr c.t. ebenfalls in Präsenz geplant. 
   Im Zweifelsfall können diese Termine gerne auch flexibel in Einzelgesprächen nachgeholt werden.
3. Zusätzlich dazu gehört die Erstellung eines Kompetenzprofils zu der Prüfungsleistung. Studierende können hierfür verschiedene Veranstaltungen in unserem Programm besuchen, u.a. die Offene EInführung in die Potentialanalyse.
