Dr. Vsevolod Potapov
1. Could you please describe your academic/ professional career in a few words?
Currently I am a senior researcher at the Faculty of Philology at Lomonosov Moscow State University. I predominantly focus on the Russian language (Modern Russian; history of Russian; Russian as foreign); comparative linguistics (Slavic & Germanic languages); applied linguistics; sociolinguistics. I hold a degree from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and have been a Humboldt research fellow at the University of Würzburg.
2. What do you find most fascinating about your home country?
There is deep historical scientific and fruitful collaboration between my homeland Russia and Germany.
3. Do you have any experience regarding a scientific or economic exchange between your home country and countries of the European Union?
I have intensive collaboration with German universities (first of all as AvH-fellow - Würzburg University and collaboration with Halle an der Saale university).
4. What do you think about the importance of Alumni in terms of the cultural, academic and economic exchange?
The importance of Alumni in terms of the cultural, academic and economic exchange is very great and is connected with the international cooperation first of all in Europe and in the whole world in general.
