There is one favor we would like to ask, if you do not wish to begin your studies at the University of Würzburg immediately in the next winter semester. Between mid-May and late July, we receive many inquiries about the application process in operation at that time, and between mid-August and late October, many first-semester students approach us with their questions about how to get started with their studies. Therefore, please understand that, during these periods, we will only be able to give a minimum response to all other – less urgent – inquiries and requests for consultations. If you wish to have more detailed counseling on less pressing matters, please contact us outside the time periods given above.
Personal Consultations
Personal consultations are often the easiest way of solving a problem. Just visit us during our office hours. You do not need to make an appointment. We are open from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 12, and additionally from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesdays, even during school holidays or semester breaks. In individual cases, we can also arrange other appointments. Please also see our notes on possible changes in office hours at "Aktuelles".
As from February 4, 2009, and provisionally up to November 2009, we will be housed in the ancillary building behind Neue Universität, please see the 
Site Map. After this time, we will be back in our regular location on the fifth floor of Ottostrasse 16, 97070 Würzburg (the building to the right of Neue Universität at Sanderring, please see the Site Map).

A word of explanation, in case no one should answer the phone:
We do try to take every call directly. Yet during our walk-in office hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-12 and Wed, 2pm to 4pm), visitors who appear in person have priority. So it might well be that, at times when our offices are highly frequented, all of our staff will be busy with personal consultations. In this case, simply try again a few minutes later. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
